Tomillo Foundation

La presencia de Fundación Tomillo en el Reino Unido sólo ha sido posible gracias al apoyo y la estrecha colaboración con The North of England School of English. Desde nuestro primer viaje a Doncaster, allá por 2014, la institución que dirige David Williams nos ha brindado una ayuda inestimable, amén de una cálida acogida en que cada proyecto anual de Erasmus Plus.

Gracias a ellos, fuimos capaces de enviar, año a año, un mayor número de estudiantes para disfrutar una experiencia profesional y vital en Inglaterra.

Gracias a ellos hallamos empresas dispuestas a acogerlos durante su periodo de prácticas. Mejoraron su nivel de inglés durante sus clases, conocieron a fondo la cultura británica y nos permitieron descubrir algunas de las maravillosas localizaciones del norte de Inglaterra durante las excursiones dominicales. Cuando hubo necesidad de encontrar alojamiento en la ciudad para nuestros estudiantes, no cejaron hasta ponernos en contacto con un lugar adecuado para alojarlos.

Por todo ello, desde Fundación Tomillo queremos agradecer a The North of England School of English, a David Williams y su equipo, una vez más, su implicación y participación en el Proyecto Erasmus Plus.

The presence of Fundación Tomillo in the United Kingdom it has been only possible thanks to the support and close collaboration with The North of England School of English. Since our first visit to Doncaster, back in 2014, the institution run by David Williams has provided us with an invaluable help, besides a warm welcome in each of the annual Erasmus Plus project we carry out in the city.

Thanks to them, we have been able to send, year by year, a bigger number of students to enjoy a professional and vital experience in England.

Thanks to them we have found companies willing to take our students in during their internship period. They have also had the chance to improve their level of English by attending lessons in the School, they have also discovered some of the awesome places in the North of England during the Sunday excursions they have scheduled for us all these years. When a new residence in the city was needed they made their best to provide some suitable lodging for our students.

For all of this, from Fundación Tomillo we would like to thank The North of England School of English, David Williams and his staff, once again, for their involvement and participation in the Erasmus Plus Project.      

Hannah

My name is Hannah, I am 17 years old and from Northern Germany. I did a five week internship at the reception from THE NORTH OF ENGLAND SCHOOL OF ENGLISH in my summer holidays. I wanted to improve my English and acquire new experiences from another country and in the internship as an Admin and Student Advisor at the reception. I did not have a problem with the language there. The people are so friendly and professional here. When I had a problem, they helped me and they were so nice and genial to me and the students. The school teaches English for people from the whole word. So we had a summer programme and I made some things with them, for example to go bowling or make a treasure hunt. Also it was possible for me to go with David and a few students to Cambridge and we saw the city, many colleges and did a boat tour. It was so lovely.

I lived at a house with a host grandma. It was really good, that I was not alone at home, because so, I had to speak more and improve my English more.

I would say that my language got better and I spoke here so much and the people understood me. It is so nice when you learned English for a long time and you are the first time alone in England and you have to speak English and you can communicate with other people because they can understand you and you can understand them. And the school helped me so much with the language.

It was a wonderful time at the school and the colleagues are so cordial and I felt admitted to the team. I fell sad, because I have to go home and I will miss the team. I could socialize and get to know so many people. I have embosomed all the colleges. I am so happy, that I did the internship in the school.
